It all started with a laptop at my kitchen table while my then 6-month-old son, Evan, was taking a nap. I designed logos, business cards, websites, postcards, brochures, you name it, all while my little guy was busy counting sheep. Thankfully for my fledgling business he was a great sleeper. By the time he was old enough to attend 2-year-old preschool 3 days a week, I was keeping very busy with my home based business. Then my second little bundle of joy, Colin, came along and my schedule got a little crazier to say the least. We built a small office onto our Cartersville home and I hired my first employee to help me keep up with the growing number of projects in my inbox. Now Lara J Designs has five employees and an address on Erwin Street downtown. A visit to our office will quickly show you our family roots with a living room style conference area and a work room equipped with a train table for my little boys. We have a personal relationship with all of our clients, and focus on making sure that all of our clients are 100% satisfied with each and every one of the graphic design projects we work on for them.

Through connections with other local businesses in our community I have not only been able to create jobs for myself and all of the other wonderful members of my Lara J Designs team, but through our work as graphic designers we help all of our clients to better promote their businesses, as well. Every business needs to have strong marketing, and we help guide our clients to the best way to market their own business by a powerful logo, website, and print marketing. We know from personal experience that small businesses often have small budgets, and at Lara J Designs we do our best to work with our clients to help them stay within an amount they can afford.

Lara J Designs is just one of many small business success stories that can be attributed to referrals. This is exactly why when we moved into our new office at 12 South Erwin Street; we knew that joining the Cartersville-Bartow Chamber of Commerce would be an invaluable resource. Since joining in January we have attended many Chamber meetings, and had a great response from our ribbon cutting in March. We have met so many wonderful people and have made connections throughout our community. Cartersville is such a wonderful town with a rich history and culture, and all of us at Lara J Designs want to help support our community through every means possible.

By joining the Cartersville-Bartow Chamber of Commerce you can help your own small business grow. All members of the Chamber are strong advocates of our great community, and I know from personal experience that you are much more likely to get support from your local community when they meet you through a referral connection like the Cartersville-Bartow Chamber of Commerce.

With connections made through friendships and business relationships we have seen our client base grow exponentially and we are thrilled to support our clients in the same way they support us. We love our community, and through our support of each other we can help our own local economy flourish. Make sure that when you are looking for a product or service for yourself or your business that you Buy Bartow and help our community grow!
