Linda Evans Home & Garden asked us to create a new, modern visual identity for their business. Linda Evans is Cartersville's Plant Lady, and we are honored to have worked on these projects, including a custom logo design, business card design, and custom e-commerce website design and development.

The Goal

Our goal for The Plant Lady's branding was to create a clean, friendly identity that speaks to Linda's vast knowledge. Linda Evans Home & Garden also offers services for residential and commercial clients, which we aimed to reflect in her promotional materials.

The Brand

Linda Evan's old logo design included a watercolor-style image of plants behind the text. The plants looked beautiful, but a simplified icon was necessary to make the logo usable in many places. The Plant Lady's brand includes a plant-themed logo with a Monstera Deliciosa leaf as the icon! This leaf icon is great for printing, embroidery, and many other uses because of its bold lines.

The colors and fonts are inspired by the natural shapes and varying greens that plants come in. The cursive font, Fairwater Script, mimics the organic shapes of plants. The visual identity is complete with three shades of green drawn straight from nature!

The business cards feature the newly designed logo on one side with Linda Evans's title, "The Plant Lady," front and center on the other. It also includes her contact information, as well as her Home and Garden store's location. We also highlighted Linda Evans's commercial & residential services, which include plants, container gardens, pots & planters.

The Website Design and Development

We worked to design and develop a custom e-commerce website for Linda Evans that would not only showcase her brand beautifully but also provide a seamless and intuitive user experience for her customers. We used WooCommerce to build the online shop portion of the site. Products were organized into clear categories and subcategories for easy browsing. Items with multiple options or variations were selectable via dropdown menus, and the site was linked to a variety of secure payment methods. We coded the site with a custom theme within WordPress. It was important for the site to be built using a content management system to enable Linda Evans and her staff to easily maintain the site and add products on their own.

Features used: contact form, blog & news articles, e-commerce, content management system.
