Located in North Georgia near the shores of Lake Allatoona, the City of Emerson is a growing community that balances small-town charm with big-picture vision. Known for its scenic surroundings, thriving parks, and the world-class LakePoint Sports Complex, Emerson has become both a welcoming hometown and a regional destination. With a history dating back to 1889, the city continues to balance progress and tradition, offering residents and visitors alike a place where community and opportunity meet.

As Emerson continued to grow, city leaders recognized the need for a unified visual identity that could represent its character and aspirations. Lara J Designs was tasked with creating a logo system that reflects the city’s welcoming nature, natural beauty, and vision for the future, establishing an identity that could carry across signage, city programs, and community communications.

The primary city seal was designed to serve as an official emblem that embodies Emerson’s identity and values. Its circular layout and balanced composition convey a sense of unity and stability, while the central illustration featuring the city’s courthouse, fountain, and surrounding municipal complex reflects Emerson’s connection to community, governance, and progress. The color palette of blue and green reinforces this harmony between growth and trust. To complement the formal seal, Lara J Designs also developed simplified marketing versions with tagline and color variations for use across signage, digital platforms, and promotional materials. These secondary logos maintain visual consistency while offering flexibility for more casual and contemporary applications.

To ensure the city’s visual identity could be reproduced across all formats, Lara J Designs created a simplified version of the official seal for embroidery and small-scale applications. This version maintains the core elements and recognizable structure of the full seal while reducing fine details to achieve clean, legible stitching. The result is a design that preserves Emerson’s identity and professionalism even in its most compact form.

We also designed logos for different city programs and facilities that flow with the overall city visual identity.

We created custom directional signage for the municipal court complex, graphics for the vinyl signage on the class doors, city welcome signage, and city facility signage.

We design print collateral to match City of Emerson branding, including business cards, letterheads, and advertisements.
